Hi. I’m Jennifer.
Known online as PrplJennifer — named for my very purple hair by a friend who needed to tell me apart from the other Jennifers in her life. The name stuck, and so did the mission.
I spent 30+ years in corporate training and instructional design, helping organizations teach complex things to real people in ways that actually work. When my own kids became adults, I noticed something: school prepared them for a lot of things, but not for the actual mechanics of living on their own.
Budgeting. Home maintenance. Cooking real food. Taking care of themselves. Navigating the systems that adult life runs on. Nobody taught them — and nobody teaches most of us. We’re just expected to figure it out.
That’s what PrplJennifer is for. Practical, structured, genuinely useful learning — for the skills that life requires and nobody bothered to teach. No judgment. No hype. Just a Wayfinder who’s been on the path.
